The
CV Series laser is the newest Fast Axial Flow CO
2 laser from Convergent. This laser produces the high power and an exceptional quality beam required for the most difficult cutting and welding applications. The design utilizes the latest technology with a basic philosophy that stresses simplicity and high reliability for worldwide usage.
CV Series lasers, like the CP Series lasers, are rugged industrial lasers, inexpensive to operate, extremely reliable and very easy to use.
Main Features:
- High brightness beam for greatest power density
- DC excitation - resulting in superior electrical efficiency when compared to RF excited lasers
- Magnetic Bearing Turbine - no more bearing changes
- Unique resonator structure - fast warm-up, excellent temporal and spatial stability
- Solid-state power supply - reliable, low maintenance operation
- New user friendly Controller - featuring advanced remote diagnostics
- Low operating costs - Proportational gas usage as a function of power
- Single cabinet design for easy access to maintenance points
Resonator Features:
- Machined aluminum end plates for increased optical stability
- Resonator design comprised of forced balanced components, symmetry and near
zero growth advanced composite elements
- Kinematic mounting - excellent beam quality and pointing stability
- End blocks at ground potential
- Designed for very long intervals between required service
Power Supply Features:
High voltage components protected from environmental contamination
- Advanced IGBT technology power supply
- Newly designed "oil-less" solid state power supply
- Fast rise time resulting in optimum cutting of the most complex contours without worry of overheating
Controls and Interface Features:
- Versatile interface - laser can be operated from CNC or local control
- CAN Bus communication between controller and components / sensors
