LaserServer is an automatic loading/unloading tool designed for use with the PLATINO laser machine. It is an expandable and modular system that can be adapted and changed with different options to provide the greatest flexibility. By adding or substituting different options it is possible to create an unmanned working cell that is fully integrated with a sheet metal stores system. In this way it allows the investment to keep pace with increased production requirements.

In its basic configuration LaserServer consists of a handling robot for raw and finished sheets, a loading and an unloading station. For the best integration of LaserServer in the workshop, two versions are available: transversal and longitudinal.

The work cell is equipped with a user friendly and intuitive management software system, which allows the batch production of sheets of a variety of materials and thicknesses. It is also possible to assign different programs to the single sheets to be processed.

LaserServer main options:

• sheet thickness control device to check that the sheet metal that is to be loaded matches the one inserted in the production program. It also controls that the loading robotic arm has lifted a single sheet. In case the arm lifts more than one sheet metal, the system repeats the sheet automatic separation cycle

• sheet metal automatic alignment device can be added to accurately and automatically align the sheet, avoiding unproductive time when aligning a sheet directly on the machine cutting table

• two shuttle tables can replace the two fixed tables of the loading/unloading stations to enable integration with entry and exit stores in a fully unmanned work cell
