PRIMA NORTH AMERICA RECEIVES ISO 9001:2008 CERTIFICATION
           Chicopee, MA: PRIMA North America has received ISO 9001:2008 certification. The certification applies to both the Champlin, MN and Chicopee, MA facilities, and all three of PRIMA North America’s businesses - LASERDYNE SYSTEMS, CONVERGENT LASERS and PRIMA SYSTEMS.

 

 

           Terry L. VanderWert, president of PRIMA North America, made the announcement stating that the certification is a result of the commitment to quality as the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of lasers and laser systems.

 

            “This certification is evidence of the value that all of our employees place on providing quality products and services.  This is another step in our ongoing efforts to develop and manufacture industrial lasers and systems that provide our world wide customers the most consistent and highest performing manufacturing processes,” reported Mr. VanderWert. “At the pace with which we are striving to develop and launch new, innovative and standard-setting products, having a comprehensive quality system is crucial to our success and, ultimately, the success of our customers.”

            TUV SUD America Inc., an accredited Management Systems Registrar in the U.S., Europe and Asia, granted the certification based on a recent audit of PRIMA North America’s quality management system.

            PRIMA North America is a global supplier of lasers and laser manufacturing systems used in a broad range of applications including aerospace, automotive, military, medical and general manufacturing. For over 30 years, the company has been a leading supplier to industry for both 2D and 3D laser systems and processes.
